Here at Essex Seafood & Grill we are a proud and independent family owned Seafood and Steak restaurant, located right on the Southend-On-Sea esplanade, with an invigorating sea view over bracing Chalkwell bay. Our seafood and steak culinary journey began way back in 1986 when we first began providing fresh seafood to many of the most infamous pubs across East and North East London. Following this we setup a mobile seafood bar and then, due to demand, we created our first Oyster, Lobster, Seafood and Steak restaurant in southern Essex. Our love of seafood then naturally led us back to the ocean, on the esplanade next to the sea in Southend-On-sea. This seaside restaurant location allows our customers to both soak up the view whilst enjoying the unique British seaside town atmosphere as they are savouring our delightful Seafood and Steak dishes. We always strive to provide the highest quality of freshly caught seafood, prepared daily, by our talented chefs. Our recipes use only the finest quality fish, shellfish and meat, tantalising any gourmets palate, and ensuring that our dishes truly hit the spot as the most delectable dishes in Southend!

Our journey- From London to our seaside location

Our seafood and steak journey first began back in 1986 when we, as seafood and steak lovers, started out by providing fresh seafood to many of the most infamous pubs across London. This led to the setting up of a mobile seafood bar and then, following demand, an Oyster, Seafood and Steak restaurant in southern Essex. Our love of seafood next led us to the ocean, in sunny Southend-On-sea, and a restaurant location right next to the sea. Here our customers can admire the view and soak up our unique British seaside atmosphere as they are enjoying our delightful dishes. In this way, you can rest assured that the seafood that our talented chefs prepare daily is simply the freshest and best available. Our recipes use only the best fish, shellfish and meat making our dishes the most delicious in town!
